Balls Up At Social Services!

Amidst yet another outcry over the utter failure of Social Services regarding the Baby 'P' disgrace, Ed Balls has come out fighting.
Mr. Balls is set to thrash those responsible for the cock-up at Haringay, that's providing some yet to be revealed internal investigation finds, in the fullness of time, some yet to be agreed error, by some person or persons unnamed.
Some quarters have called for sackings, loss of pay and pension etc., others for the return of the stocks. Even the wolly liberal types (excluding civil servants) are baying for blood.
T-N believes none of this will happen, perhaps a polite apology, but what would you suggest?
